Founded in honor of America’s first scientist in 1824 - Benjamin Franklin - The Franklin Institute is one of the oldest and premier centers of science education and development in the country. Today - the museum continues its dedication to public education and creating a passion for science by offering new and exciting access to science and technology in ways that would dazzle and delight its namesake.

How to get there

The Franklin Institute is a short walk from Suburban Station. You can also hop Bus Routes 7, 33, 38, 48 or Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34 or 36.

Open 7 days a week - from 9:30Am to 5PM.

Franklin Institute

The Art of the Brick exhibit is back at The Franklin Institute thru 9/2 featuring over 100 LEGO sculptures - including Van Gogh's "Starry Night" and a 20-foot-long T Rex dinosaur skeleton. Take Bus Routes 7, 33, 38, 48 or Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34 36 to 19th Street or make the short walk from Suburban Station.
