Fly Eagles Fly!

September 9, 2016

This Sunday, 9/11, the Eagles return to South Philly for their first game of the regular season! They’ll be taking on the Cleveland Browns at 1:00PM, and thousands of fans will flock to Lincoln Financial Field to cheer on the boys in green. If you’re heading down to the stadium, avoid the traffic and the $25 parking fee and let SEPTA do the driving.

On Sunday, nothing will get you to the stadium quicker and easier than SEPTA’s Broad Street Line. To accommodate Eagles fans, the BSL will be on a Sports Express Service schedule, with trains running every 10 minutes from 10:10AM to 12:20PM and making limited stops. Oh, and did we mention it will be completely FREE? Thanks to Miller Lite, you can ride the BSL for no cost from 9AM to 9PM. So not only will it be the fastest way to get to the game on Sunday, but it will also be the cheapest. For more information about this Sunday’s BSL service, go to http://www.septa.org/events/sports.html.

Coming from the suburbs? SEPTA is still the way to go! All Regional Rail lines stop at Center City’s Suburban Station. From there, it's only a short walk to City Hall Station, where you can hop on Broad Street Line (for FREE!).

In addition to the BSL, SEPTA Bus Routes 4 and 17 will drop you off right in the middle of all the game day action.

You can even your SEPTA Pass to get more than just a ride this Sunday. With Pass Perks, score discounts at a number of local businesses by flashing your valid TransPass, TrailPass, One Day Independence Pass, or SEPTA Key. McFadden’s Ballpark Restaurant & Saloon offers 15% off your total bill and is just down the road from Lincoln Financial Field. If you’re looking for some Eagles gear, head to Eagles Pro Shop for 10% off your purchase.

So, whether you to have a ticket to the game or are just tailgating with friends, play it safe this Sunday and let SEPTA take you there. Oh, and GO EAGLES!
