Route of the Week - Fox Chase Line

This week, we're exploring the Fox Chase Line! The Fox Chase Line is a SEPTA Regional Rail Line that travels between Fox Chase and Center City. On a typical weekday, this line carries 5,588 passengers and makes 45 total trips. Along its 12.5-mile route, the Fox Chase Line stops at ten different stations.

SEPTA began operation of the Fox Chase Rapid Transit Line on October 5, 1981. Between 1984 and 2010, the line was designated "R8 Fox Chase" as part of SEPTA's diametrical reorganization of its lines.

This Friday, the Fox Chase Line will be included in the 2017 Santa Express. The fun begins in Dilworth Park at 10:30am. SEPTA’s trains and stations will be specially decorated for the occasion and helpers will be there to hand out holiday gift bags and to guide revelers to the fun! To get theere on the Fox Chase Line, hop train #823 from Fox Chase at 10:11am. You'll arrive at Suburban Station at 10:45am - just in time to see Santa! Learn more about Santa Express here.
