Route 310 to Become Two Routes

February 22, 2017

Beginning Monday, 2/27, service on SEPTA’s Route 310 Horsham Breeze will be split into two routes: Horsham Breeze Red (Route 310) and Horsham Breeze Blue (Route 311). The new service will allow SEPTA to address increased ridership on the current Horsham Breeze buses.

“The growth in businesses and retail centers in Upper Dublin and Upper Moreland Townships has led to a greater demand of our Horsham Breeze service,” said SEPTA General Manager Jeffrey Knueppel. “By dividing the large service area of the former Route 310 into two smaller, separate routes, we will be able to get our customers to their destinations more quickly. ”The new Routes 310 and 311 are part of SEPTA’s Fiscal Year 2017 Annual Service Plan project to accommodate the growing ridership on a service that was introduced in November 1996. The Authority worked with local government officials, the Partnership Transportation Management Association, Chambers of Commerce and property owners on the new service plan. Routes 310 and 311 operate Monday-Saturday, serving the Willow Grove Park Mall to connect with Bus Routes 22, 55 and 95. A limited number of trips on Routes 310 and 311 will begin at Willow Grove Regional Rail Station, connecting with SEPTA’s Warminster Line. Additionally:

• Route 310 (Horsham Breeze Red) will serve the Horsham Gate Retail Center; UPS Distribution Center; Horsham Business Center; and locations along Dresher Road, including the Walnut Grove area of the Pennsylvania Business Campus.

• Route 311 (Horsham Breeze Blue) will service the Willow Grove Point retail area, as well as providing new service to offices and hotels in Upper Moreland Township, along Computer Drive, Maryland Road and Commerce Road. Route 311 will also provide access to Abington Jefferson Health, the Cancer Center, which is currently under development, and portions of Witmer Road, Gibraltar Road and Prudential Drive in the Pennsylvania Business Center.

Signs for the new Routes 310 and 311 will be posted and schedules will be available at SEPTA customer locations and online at www.septa.org. Riders can also access real-time service information by using the official SEPTA App available as a free download for both Apple and Android devices, and by following the @SEPTA_Bus Twitter feed.
