Take a Quick Trip [on SEPTA]

September 26, 2016

Updated Saturday, July 1, 2017 to reflect FY18 Fare Change.

The newest feature of the SEPTA Key program - Quick Trips - are available now to purchase from Station Fare Kiosks. A Quick Trip is a single ride fare, for one (1) person, (no transfers) that can be used for travel from Market-Frankford and Broad Street/Broad Ridge Spur Line Stations where it is purchased. The addition of the Quick Trip feature gives riders the option to purchase their fare in the station without worrying about having a token or exact change beforehand. A Quick Trip is a disposable magnetic strip ticket that customers can swipe at new Key turnstiles. A Quick Trip is valid for one-way travel from the station where it is purchased, and must be used on the day it is purchased. Also, a Quick Trip cannot be used in combination with a transfer. Station and date-of-purchase details are printed on the ticket.

Quick Trips do not offer a discounted fare - it's the same as paying cash ($2.50) - but you won't need exact change and you can use a Credit or Debit Card at the Fare Kiosk to purchase this fare! And again - a Quick Trip cannot be used in combination with a transfer. Quick Trips are swiped at the turnstile much like you swipe a SEPTA pass today. A Quick Trip is good for use only on day shown on front. To learn more details about how the Quick Trips work, go to the FAQ's.

Quick Trips are not reusable or reloadable so please, help us keep the SEPTA system clean and throw your used Quick Trip in the station trash can before you board the train.

There are currently 18 stations at which Quick Trips can be purchased. All stations are expected to offer Quick Trip purchases by October 17. Below is a list of the dates and station locations for the Quick Trip rollout.
