Route of the Week - 77

July 10, 2017

This week, we’re exploring SEPTA’s Route 77! The Route 77 runs from Chestnut Hill to Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia, making 26 round-trips per day. On a typical weekday, this route carries 946 passengers and travels 767 miles. Before it became the Route 77, this route was known as Route “X.”

In Chestnut Hill, the Route 77 connects with Chestnut Hill West and East Regional Rail Lines, as well as Bus Routes 23, 97, and L. Chestnut Hill, with its charming downtown and small-town feel, is a great place for those looking to escape the bustle of the city. The Route 77 also services a number of schools and colleges along its route, including Arcadia University and Salus University. For those looking to do some shopping, the 77 also makes stops at Cedarbrook Plaza and Roosevelt Mall Shopping Center.

Whether you’re visiting Chestnut Hill, heading to class, or just need to run some errands, hop the Route 77 and let SEPTA do the driving!
