Route of the Week - 90

July 24, 2017

This week, we're exploring the Route 90! Each day, the Route 90 makes 33 trips between the Plymouth Meeting Mall and SEPTA's Norristown Transportation Center. This Suburban Bus Route was established on October 31, 2005, when it split from the Route 97. On a typical weekday, the Route 90 carries 572 riders and travels 439 miles.

The Route 90 Map

The Route 90's service operates over a former Schuylkill Valley Line bus route to Norristown State Hospital. Schuylkill Valley Line buses operated in and around Norristown until the company was taken over by SEPTA in 1976.

The Route 90 makes connections to the Norristown High Speed Line, the Manayunk/Norristown Line, and seven different bus routes at Norristown Transportation Center. Popular attractions along the Route 90 include the Plymouth Meeting Mall and the Elmwood Park Zoo - a PERKS Partner!

Whether it's to work, play, or anything in between, hop the Route 90 and let SEPTA do the driving!
