Plane, then Train

Airport line platform

**The ability to purchase mobile tickets through Mozio for SEPTA's Airport Line ended as of 1/31/18. You can still use previously purchased tickets through your tickets expiration date.**

Updated Saturday, July 1, 2017 to reflect FY18 Fare Change.

With two new ways to pay for travel on the Airport Line, going from air to rail just got a whole lot easier. Before, the only way to purchase your ticket to Center City from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) was in cash ($8) onboard the train from the conductor. You can still do this - we will always accept cash onboard - but now you can purchase your ticket in advance, prior to boarding and it saves you $1.25!

You can purchase a Quick Trip using either a credit or debit card or cash from the SEPTA Key Fare Kiosks located at each Airport Line Terminal Stop. A Quick Trip is valid for one-way travel between PHL and Center City Philadelphia via SEPTA's Airport Line. A Quick Trip costs $6.75.

You can also purchase your ticket in advance for $6.75 through the Mozio app for iOS devices. Search Mozio and download the app from the iOS store (the app is available on iOS only), create a free account, and search for transportation options between Philadelphia International Airport and your destination. For destinations within a 15-minute walk of SEPTA’s five (5) Center City Regional Rail Stations, the SEPTA Airport Line will be your recommended mode of travel. Once you select the Airport Line and click 'book', you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Mozio letting you know your trip is booked. Electronic tickets are stored in the Mozio app and visually validated by conductors onboard. Make sure your mobile device is charged. An unactivated ticket will be blue, an activated ticket will be green and an expired ticket will be red. To activate your ticket, just tap Confirm Activation. You will have 2 hours until your ticket is no longer valid, so activate your ticket when you're on the train platform. Learn more here.

For your return trip to the airport, you can purchase your return ticket from any SEPTA Sales Office. The cost is $6.75. Sales Offices accept cash, debit and credit. Or you can book it through the Mozio app. Or if you're tight on time, you can pay $8 cash onboard the train.

And remember, if you're a regular SEPTA rider, your SEPTA TrailPass, TransPass and the One Day Independence are also valid for travel between the Airport and Center City Philadelphia.
