March 2018 Regional Rail Schedule Change

The March schedule change includes adjustments to train departure times for only the Lansdale/Doylestown, Media/Elwyn, Paoli/Thorndale, and West Trenton Lines to accommodate rail and tie replacement projects. All other Regional Rail lines will operate on the current schedule (customers should still refer to the timetable with the January 14, 2018 effective date).
Saturday and Sunday service will not change as part of the March 11 schedule change.
As part of our on-going campaign to streamline resource use and to help promote the many other ways you can get schedule information, we are not printing paper timetables for the March 11th Regional Rail schedule change.
Major changes to service are listed below; however, customers should still refer to the ONLINE timetables with the March 11, 2018 effective date for complete service information.
Due to a rail and tie replacement project, buses will replace midday trains between Doylestown and Lansdale stations on weekdays, beginning Monday, March 12, 2018. Construction is expected to last through July 2018. Select trains (noted below) will also depart at different times than previously scheduled as part of new March 2018 schedule.
Buses replace 6 Inbound (#521, #525, #529, #533, #537, and #541) and 6 Outbound (#7534, #540, #544, #548, #552, and #556) midday trains at Lansdale, 9th Street, Fortuna, Colmar, Link Belt, Chalfont, New Britain, Delaware Valley University, and Doylestown stations. Customers should make the bus/train connection at Lansdale Station for continued service.
Other changes on the Lansdale/Doylestown Line include:
Train #519 going towards Center City, previously departing Lansdale at 8:48a, will now depart at 8:43a.
LINK BELT CUSTOMERS: Trains #523, #527, #531, #535, and #539, which previously originated at Link Belt Station, will no longer operate.
Train #545, previously departing Link Belt at 2:42p, will now originate from Lansdale, departing at 2:42p.
Train #551, previously departing Doylestown at 2:52p, will now depart at 2:30p. This train will make stops at Link Belt and Fortuna Stations.
Due to construction, trains operating between 9a. and 2p between Lansdale and Center City stations will operate with hourly service. Customers should check the new online timetable for specific departure times.
Changes include adjustments to departure times for three late night Inbound (toward Center City) trains due to overnight catenary construction on the West Trenton Line.
Train #3542, departing Elwyn at 8:33a, will terminate at Temple University Station and will no longer operate continued service to Doylestown.
Train #392, previously departing Elwyn at 8:15p, will now depart at 8:25p.
Train #394, previously departing Elwyn at 9:12p, will now depart at 9:25p.
Train #396, previously departing Elwyn at 10:06p, will now depart at 10:25p.
Changes include adjustments to continued service select morning and midday trains due to construction on the Lansdale/Doylestown Line.
Trains #546 (departing Thorndale at 9:05a), #550 (departing Thorndale at 10:08a), #554 (departing Thorndale at 11:02a), and #558 (departing Thorndale at 12:02p) will terminate at Suburban Station.Customers should transfer to Airport Line trains for continued service toward Jenkintown-Wyncote and Glenside stations.
Bus Routes 201, 204, 205, and 206 Customers: The schedules for these bus routes will not change as part of the Regional Rail schedule change. Customers should still refer to the timetables with the September 11, 2017 effective date.
Changes include adjustments to inbound and outbound train departure times due to midday and overnight catenary construction.
Train #6301, previously departing West Trenton at 9:07a, will now depart at 8:59a.
Train #6313, previously departing West Trenton at 2:54p, will now depart at 2:58p.
Train #387, previously departing West Trenton at 8:08p, will now depart at 8:04p.
AM & PM TRAINS GOING TOWARD WEST TRENTON ARE OPERATING 10 MINUTES LATER: Trains #6300, #6302, #6304, #6306, #6308, and #6310 will depart Suburban Station 10 minutes LATER
Train #6368, previously departing Suburban at 3:01p, will now depart at 3:10p.
Train #390, previously departing Suburban at 8:09p, will now depart at 8:14p.
Train #392, previously departing Suburban at 8:56p, will now depart at 9:09p.
Train #394, previously departing Suburban at 9:56p, will now depart at 10:09p.
Train #396, previously departing Suburban at 10:50p, will now depart at 11:09p.
