The Harry Potter Festival Made Its Return to Chestnut Hill

October 25, 2016

This past Saturday, Philadelphia's Chestnut Hill hosted their annual Harry Potter Festival and Quidditch Tournament. This year, the festival was bigger than ever, with thousands of fans from Philadelphia and beyond heading to Chestnut Hill to take part in the magic! SEPTA’s Chestnut Hill East and Chestnut Hill West Regional Rail Lines transformed into the Hogwarts Local, transporting over 3,000 witches, wizards, and muggles to the festival.

Fans got a chance to meet Dumbledore, Harry, and the rest of their favorite witches and wizards.

Harry and his friends pose for a photo before boarding the Hogwarts Express.

In Jefferson Station, passengers were able to mingle with Harry Potter and his friends (and enemies) from 9am-10am. The ISEPTAPHILLY Team was there to hand out special edition Hogwarts Local pins to riders before they departed on their journey. Thanks to the cooperation of SEPTA staff and the patience of our customers, the Hogwarts Local safely delivered festival attendees to Hogsmeade.

It not every day you see Dumbledore riding the train!

A happy rider after completing the journey to Hogsmeade.

So thank you magical ISEPTAPHILLYers, for marching Dumbledore's Army out to Chestnut Hill, and making that journey on our SEPTA Hogwarts Local!

Mischief managed.
