Route of the Week - LUCY

October 30, 2017

This week, we’re taking a closer look at the LUCY, which stands for “Loop through University City.” SEPTA buses operate on the LUCY’s two lines – Green and Gold. Both lines travel along the same circular route in University City, but in opposite directions.  The LUCY shuttle runs every 5 to 30 minutes from 6:10AM to 7:00PM Monday through Friday.

The LUCY is free for students of the University of Pennsylvania and employees of University of Pennsylvania, University of Pennsylvania Health System, University City Science Center, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. All others can ride with a SEPTA Key, Trans or TrailPass, transfers, or $2.50 bus fare.

The LUCY connects with 30th Street Station, where riders can connect Amtrak, NJ Transit, and all SEPTA Regional Rail Lines. The LUCY also makes connections with various SEPTA Bus Routes, Trolley Lines, the Market-Frankford Line.

Wherever you're headed in University City, hop the LUCY and let SEPTA take you around!
