Destination

Ambler

Boasting some of the best dining in Montgomery County, Ambler's walkable downtown features a wide range of restaurants, as well as theaters, shopping and a full events calendar.

How to get there

Ride the Lansdale/Doylestown Line to Ambler Station or hop Routes 94 or 95.

Fare

Regional Rail Zone 3:

A one-way ticket purchased from a conductor is $7.00 on both weekdays and weekends. If you buy your ticket from a SEPTA sales office beforehand, the fare is $6.00 on weekdays and $5.25 on weekends.

Bus:

One-way fare is $2.50 cash. You must have exact change if paying the cashier. The cashier cannot make change. Quick Trips are available from the Fare Kiosks located at all Broad Street and Market-Frankford Line stations. The kiosks accept credit/debit cards and cash [no exact change needed!]. Note, a Quick Trip is a one-way ticket, good for 24 hours. It can only be used at the station from which it is purchased.

Your best bet is a SEPTA Key Card. Like a Quick Trip, it is also available from the Fare Kiosks but unlike a Quick Trip, it is reloadable and reusable. The SEPTA Key Travel Wallet allows you to pay as you go and you'll receive a discount for each ride ($2.00 versus the $2.50 cash fare). You must load a minimum of $10 [which will get you 5 rides]. Funds in your Travel Wallet can only be used to pay for one (1) person. It cannot be tapped multiple times to pay for anyone traveling with you.

Best part – your SEPTA Key gets you more than just a ride. Flash it for discounts on food, drink, museums, sports, shops and more. Click here for a full list of Partners.

Things To Do

The Act II Playhouse is a Barrymore Award-winning professional theater that presents a varied repertoire of concerts, plays, and musicals. The historic Ambler Theater, probably the most iconic site in downtown, has undergone a decades-long journey back to its roots as a movie theater.

Ambler's downtown is lined with amazing restaurants and dining. Check out El Limon for award-winning Mexican cuisine, Cibo Italiano Ristorante for classic Italian fare, or Forest & Main Brewing Company for a freshly crafted beer.
