Destination

Norristown

Norristown is home to many diverse restaurants in town, shopping in close proximity, miles of nature trails, Norristown Arts Hill district, and so much more.

How to get there

Hop the Manayunk/Norristown Line, or take the Norristown High-Speed Line. Both modes will drop you off at Norristown Transportation Center

Fare

Regional Rail Zone 3:

A one-way ticket purchased from a conductor is $7.00 on both weekdays and weekends. If you buy your ticket from a SEPTA sales office beforehand, the fare is $6.00 on weekdays and $5.25 on weekends.

Norristown High-Speed Line:

One-way fare is $2.50 cash. You must have exact change if paying the cashier. The cashier cannot make change.

Your best bet is a SEPTA Key Card. The SEPTA Key is a reloadable, reusable card that is available from Fare Kiosks at 69th Street Transportation Center. The SEPTA Key Travel Wallet allows you to pay as you go and you'll receive a discount for each ride ($2.00 versus the $2.50 cash fare). You must load a minimum of $10 [which will get you 5 rides]. Funds in your Travel Wallet can only be used to pay for one (1) person. It cannot be tapped multiple times to pay for anyone traveling with you.

Best part – your SEPTA Key gets you more than just a ride. Flash it for discounts on food, drink, museums, sports, shops and more. Click here for a full list of Partners.

Things To Do

The county seat of Montgomery County, Norristown is home to one of the area's most beloved attractions, the Elmwood Park Zoo. Even better, it's one of our Perks Partners! Norristown is also known for the Zep, a unique take on the traditional hoagie being made at the many Norristown sandwich spots.

Norristown has plenty to offer whether you're traveling as a family or just adults. Take the kids to the historic Norristown Farm Park, catch a game of golf at Westover Country Club, or grab a drink at Five Saints Distilling
