America’s Garden Capital Maze, on the Albert M. Greenfield Lawn, as the Center City District (CCD) partners with Greater Philadelphia Gardens to celebrate the region’s horticultural heritage, made possible by a generous $300,000 grant from the William Penn Foundation to the Center City District Foundation (CCDF).
America’s Garden Capital Maze, designed by Groundswell Design Group, for both children and adults, features willow-branch archways, evergreens, trees, perennials, shrubs, and topiary sculptures from 32 area gardens as part of a Maze with colorful winter plantings adorned with twinkling mini-lights.
The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market features local artisans, designers, crafters and confectionaries offering unique selections for gifts and special holiday foods in white, festively lit tents topped with original Herrnhut Stars. The market was conceived and designed to complement Christmas Village in Philadelphia, which this year has a new home in the City Hall Courtyard and on the north and east perimeter of City Hall.
The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market will be open from November 19 through December 24.
