It's Time To Fall Back!

November 2, 2022

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour! Daylight Saving Time is coming to an end on Sunday, November 6, 2022!

Daylight Saving Time is the practice of advancing clocks during warmer months so that darkness falls at a later clock time.

Now that we are officially “falling back” – this means everybody loses an hour of daylight at the end of each day. It will begin to get dark during the time most people are homebound and voyaging on their daily commute from the office.

Even though we will be getting less sun – we will now have more time for nighttime activities. You can schedule a fun night out with friends and family a few hours earlier and if you’re a SEPTA Key cardholder you can save on select activities with Perks!

Some fun perks now include $1 off admission at the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, free rides on the Philly PHLASH, $2 off admission at the Penn Museum, and so much more! And the best way to go to  all of your night life happenings is, of course, SEPTA!

As the days get shorter and darker – SEPTA would like to encourage our riders to stay alert when traveling on the system. If traveling underground – be aware of the emergency call boxes on the platforms and all emergency exits.

It is also encouraged to utilize the Transit Watch App to report any problem anonymously and in a timely fashion. You can also contact SEPTA Transit Police with a simple text message at (215) 234-1911.

So, get ready Philly – and enjoy your extra hour of rest!
