For the 19th consecutive year, SEPTA and the Philadelphia Fire Department are observing Fire Prevention Week by placing car cards in 2,000 SEPTA vehicles. The cards were unveiled on Tuesday, October 9 by SEPTA Assistant General Manager of System Safety Jim Fox and Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel. They were joined by students from Philadelphia’s Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic School and Church.
The cards, shown below, feature SEPTA Safety Mascot Paws and Fire Department Mascot Gentry and highlight cooking safety. Fire Prevention messages will also be displayed on SEPTA bus digital displays throughout the week.
