Suburban Station: A Great Place to Shop and Eat

July 19, 2019

Suburban Station is one of the busiest parts in all of Philadelphia, and with good reason. With thousands of people taking Regional Rail every day, and its convenient location under City Hall, it's a hub of activity for the city.

But Suburban Station is so much more than a passageway to Center City. With its restaurants, stores, and kiosks, it’s the perfect place to shop and eat.

In the morning, you can stop by Dunkin’ to get a coffee and a breakfast as you kick off your day. And on Transit Tuesday’s, if you flash your SEPTA Key, you can get a large hot or iced coffee for just $1.49. And people who pass through the station every day may have noticed that 7-Eleven is preparing to open a store right in the heart of the station, to give you even more options.

If you’re looking to grab some lunch, you have plenty of options. There’s Yunique Pizza, right by the ticket window, where you can get, you guessed it, all different kinds of pizza. You can also go to Milk House, next door to Yunique Pizza, where you have your choice between grilled cheese, ice cream, salad, soup, and more. And with this great Perk, you get 10% off your entire order!

But there’s more to the station than just food. Let’s say you’re looking for the perfect gift for someone special. You can take a walk through Hallmark looking for a card with the right message, or you can stop by Lovepop Card’s kiosk for a pop-up card with some flare. You can also get an assortment of flowers from Philadelphia Flower Market.

There are many other spots along the halls that offer great deals, including Perks! Stop by Philadelphia Shoe Outlet and flash your SEPTA Key on Men’s Monday or Women’s Wednesday to get 12% off shoes. Or go to Philly Pretzel Factory and get three free pretzels when you buy ten.

The amount of different stores and restaurants in that relatively small area is so expansive that the only way to truly discover all it has to offer is by going there yourself. Needless to say, it’s a wonderful spot with something for everyone.
