SEPTA wishes everyone who celebrates a Happy Thanksgiving!

For those venturing out for turkey - or for the parade - all SEPTA modes are operating on a Sunday Schedule on Thanksgiving Day. And don't forget - kids under 12 RIDE FREE!

Below is a summary of SEPTA detours will be in effect during the 6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade - the oldest Thanksgiving Day Parade in the nation! 

The parade starts at 20th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard; travels Eastbound on John F. Kennedy Boulevard to 16th Street; then Northbound on 16th Street to Benjamin Franklin Parkway; then Westbound on Benjamin Franklin Parkway (Inner Lanes) to Eakins Oval; And Around Eakins Oval to Kelly Drive. The parade disperses via Kelly Drive and Spring Garden Extension

The parade is free and open to the public - featuring performances and activities for the entire family.

Experience musical performances from local and national high school marching bands, youth choirs, and special dance performance groups. Special guests include “Abbott Elementary” Emmy-award winning writer Quinta Brunson and Emmy-award winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, acclaimed singer – songwriter Smokey Robinson, “The Geator with the Heater” Jerry Blavat, cast from “Tina – The Tina Turner Musical”, Philadelphia professional team mascots Swoop, Franklin the Dog, and Phang, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus, to name a few!

Detours: Wednesday, November 23

SEPTA Bus Routes 17, 31, 33, 38, 44, 49, 124, and 125 and MFO will be detoured from their normal routes beginning at 9AM on Wednesday, November 23 through approximately 8AM Thursday, November 24.

Detours: Thursday, November 24

SEPTA Bus Routes 2, 7, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 43, 44, 48, 49, 124, and 125 and MFO will be detoured from their normal routes beginning at 8AM on Thursday, November 24 through approximately 2PM.

To get to the parade on SEPTA - ride Regional Rail to Suburban Station, Trolley to 19th or 22nd Street Stations, Market-Frankford Line to 15th Street, Broad Street Line to City Hall, or Bus Routes 7, 32, 33, 38, 43 or 48 (just look out for detours!).
