Suburban Station

For almost a century, Suburban Station has served Philadelphia as a hub of travel and business. Located in Center City beneath Penn Center, adjacent to City Hall, this Art Deco rail station is a stop on all SEPTA Regional Rail Lines as well as a connection point to the Market-Frankford Line and Broad Street Line.

Nearly 100,000 visitors, travelers, and commuters pass through Suburban Station on a daily basis.

How to get there

On SEPTA of course!! Located in Center City beneath Penn Center, adjacent to City Hall, this art deco rail station is a stop on all SEPTA Regional Rail Lines as well as a connection point to the Market-Frankford Line, Broad Street Line, Bus Routes 2, 4, 16, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 44, 48, 62, 124, 125, and Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34, 36.

Center City SIPS

Center City

Great reason to catch a later train! Center City District SIPS is back EVERY WEDNESDAY beginning June 7 thru August 31 from 5PM to 7PM. Participating locations offer $7 cocktails including specialty drinks made with Hornitos Tequila, $6 wine, $5 beer and half-price appetizers. This unique happy hour tradition is a perfect opportunity for returning office workers to explore all that Center City has to offer once the workday ends.

Dilworth Park

Lace up! This spring until 7/16, the Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink at Dilworth Park paints the town rainbow with colorful springtime skate sessions. Vibrant overhead art and the checkerboard rink floor bring good times and retro vibes. For more fun, chow down at the Dilworth Park Café, fuel up at the Air Grille pop-up beer garden or hop your way through the Dilworth Park dancing fountain. Advance reservations for hour-long skating sessions are strongly recommended, and discounted matinee skate sessions are offered Mondays and Tuesdays. Get here on SEPTA! Hop the Market-Frankford Line, the Broad Street Line to City Hall, Bus Routes 2, 17, 33, 38, 44, 48, 124 or 125 or Regional Rail to Suburban Station.

Head to Rittenhouse Square every Tuesday and Saturday from 9AM-3PM for their Farmers Market! Leave the driving to SEPTA. Short walk from Suburban Station, hop a Trolley to 19th Street or ride Routes 2, 9, 12, 17, 21 or 42.

Now thru 8/27 - the House of Mouse celebrates a century of dazzling audiences with a brand-new exhibition, making its world premiere in Philadelphia. Disney100: The Exhibition opens the vaults for behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creation of the company’s most popular characters, films, shows and attractions, offering 10 themed galleries with interactive installations covering everything from Snow White to Star Wars.

Creative Resilient Youth Takeover: Art and Mental Health Exhibition

Asian Arts Initiative

Teen mental health collective Creative Resilient Youth (CRY) hosts a FREE week-long art exhibit featuring artist talks, panel discussions, and other youth-centered programming at Asian Arts Initiative during the last week of May (May is also Mental Health Awareness Month). The exhibit kicks off on Friday, 5/26 with an opening reception and features a closing panel discussion on Thursday, 6/1. The exhibit includes artwork created by emerging Philadelphia-area artists, self-portrait collage work about identity and social pressures in partnership with Asian Arts Initiative’s Young Artist Workshop, and artwork by CRY’s graduating cohort who dedicated two years to exploring mental health, artmaking, design, and political education. Registration / appointment required. To get here on SEPTA - hop the Broad Street Line to Race-Vine Station or Routes 4, 16, 23, 45, or 61.
