Route of the Week - 20

January 23, 2017

As we head into the fourth week of 2017, the route we’ll be exploring is the Route 20. The Route 20 is a SEPTA City Bus Route that runs between Philadelphia Mills Mall and Frankford Transportation Center. This bus route serves Northeast Philadelphia, operating on major roads like Roosevelt Boulevard and Academy Road. During the evening hours, the Route 20 serves Parx Casino, making it a convenient and safe form of transportation for casino goers.

On a typical weekday, the Route 20 carries 5,871 passengers and makes 194 total trips. The Route 20 is SEPTA Nite Owl route, running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Besides being convenient for those heading to Parx Casino, the Route 20 is also a great bus to hop on for visitors and employees of Philadelphia Mills Mall. Philadelphia Mills houses 200 stores, a movie theatre, two food courts, and seven restaurants. The Route 20 also stops at SEPTA's Frankford Transportation Center, where riders can connect with the Market-Frankford Line and 17 different bus and trackless trolley routes.
