The PennDOT Innovations Challenge

The PennDOT Innovations Challenge is a statewide competition that challenges teams of students in ninth through 12th grade to use their problem-solving, creative, and strategic-thinking abilities to solve real-world transportation challenges. The 2020-2021 challenge is as follows:
Develop an innovative and implementable solution, which also includes a proposal on how to educate and gain the support of Pennsylvanians, to help address Pennsylvania’s transportation revenue shortfall by identifying new and equitable funding streams, aside from additional gas taxes, tolls or mileage-based user fees, to ensure adequate transportation funding for the future. Regional winners will be selected by PennDOT's Engineering Districts. Those winners will move on to a statewide competition where an overall winner will be selected.
Submission deadline is December 18, 2020 at 11:55PM.
