Features Added to SEPTA's Beta Website

October 6, 2023

We are excited to introduce two new transit-oriented, realtime-centric features to the SEPTA.org beta website. The two new features were developed after receiving direct customer feedback during this beta testing period. We have received hundreds of survey responses so far and continue to monitor them closely.

A Widget for All Things Realtime

The “Everything Widget” as it’s come to be nicknamed is a brand-new navigation and search feature at the top of the homepage that brings transit-oriented data to your fingertips. This small yet mighty tool is a one-stop-shop that provides quick access to schedules, alerts, upcoming departures, fare and station information, the SEPTA Trip Planner, and another brand-new feature – SEPTA’s Realtime Map.

Realtime Map

The interactive Realtime Map combines the core functionality customers love from SEPTA’s existing “TransitView” tool while introducing new features and additional information in a mobile-friendly format. Using the Realtime Map - customers can select a route to view current vehicle locations and arrival times for live trips, gauge seat availability on vehicles, find stations and stops along the route, and access active alerts and schedules.

SEPTA is working hard to improve the new beta website and your transit experience. We invite you to visit the beta site, click around, and plan a trip! Afterward - please provide feedback regarding site navigation, overall usability, and critical omissions. Participating in this quick survey helps us identify areas for improvement before the future launch of the official website. Within the survey is a comment box to share your thoughts.

Please note - the beta site is still in the beta and testing phase. Please continue to refer to SEPTA.org for the most up to date information, accurate schedules, and active alerts & advisories.
