The 2024 Penn Relays Carnival

April 19, 2024

On Thursday, 4/25 - the Penn Relays Carnival kicks off at University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field in University City. This annual event is the first – and most widely recognized – relay meet in the world. Each spring - spectators from near and far head to Franklin Field to see some of the world’s top track athletes compete. Don’t miss your chance to witness history and take part in one of Philadelphia’s greatest traditions.

This year - it takes place on Thursday, 4/25, Friday, 4/26, and Saturday, 4/27.

Getting there on SEPTA couldn't be easier! Hop Regional Rail to Penn Medicine Station [located across the street from Franklin Field] or William H. Gray III 30th Street [about a 15 minute walk]. 34th Street on the Market-Frankford Line is also right around the corner. Or you can take Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34, or 36 to 33rd Street Station or Bus Routes 21, 30, 42, or 49.

On Saturday, 4/27 - Regional Rail offers additional Saturday service to supplement existing service levels. Additional trains will operate on the Chestnut Hill East, Lansdale/Doylestown, Manayunk/Norristown, Media/Wawa, Paoli/Thorndale, Trenton and Warminster lines. View schedules below:
