Go Here: Piazza Pod Park

June 6, 2019

What are you up to this weekend, ISEPTAPHILLYers? If your answer isn't going to the Piazza Pod Park then maybe you should rethink your plans!

What could be cooler than a brand new inner-city park?

The Piazza Pod Park lives at 1075 Germantown Avenue and features 35,000 square feet of outdoor space nestled comfortably in between Northern Liberties and Fishtown. Given this location, replete with so many great artistic minds, Piazza Pod Park features retail spaces made entirely of recycled shipping containers, two mega-scale installations from internationally acclaimed artists, and a local artists-in-residence program with regular classes. This outdoor space also has dining, art, civic space, kid-friendly, and fitness components, as well as regular entertainment and events.

Also - in case you missed Burning Man (how dare you), BEBOT, the 33-foot tall, 13,000-pound robot statue from Burning Man, was flown in especially for Piazza Pod Park, and will live, and wave, from its center.

Piazza Pod Park is open seven days a week, from 7a to 10:p, and until Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Please check with individual pod tenants for their times and days of operation.

The best part of all of this (we mean, better than a 13,000-pound robot statue from Burning Man)?

Location location location.

Piazza Pod Park is so accessible via SEPTA. This is just steps away from the Girard stop on the Market-Frankford Line, or the Route 15 Trolley. It's also just off of the Route 57 bus, and a quick walk from the Route 5 and the Route 25. Plan your trip here.

It couldn't be easier.
