SEPTA’s overarching goal has been and will always be customer satisfaction. That goal is reached a number of different ways. Of course, we do our best to provide the most reliable service possible to get you where you need to go when you need to be there. But we also want to make sure that our customers feel as appreciated as they truly are. That’s why throughout the summer months, our SEPTA Customer Connections (SCC) team goes throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding areas to meet with the people who ride our system every day.
The goal of these events is to make sure that the communication line between SEPTA and its customers is always as open as possible. The workers there are usually SEPTA employees from every department and depot who have volunteered their lunchtime to go to the function. Sometimes, the SCC will be there with a prize wheel where you could win a t-shirt or sunglasses. Other times, they’ll be there handing out schedule change reminders. But whatever they’re doing, they always want to interact with the customers passing by. Whether they reach a dozen or a thousand people at any particular event, they make sure that every customer feels valued and appreciated.
So if you see a group of SEPTA workers wearing matching blue button-ups and talking to passersby, feel free to stop and chat a bit! They’ll be happy to hear from you.
