Do Not Miss: SEPTA to Reveal New Trolley Station Design on 12/15

December 8, 2022

This past year - through online surveys and in-person events - SEPTA heard from customers, stakeholders, and neighbors on trolley station design, color, and lighting as well as sustainable and environmentally-friendly design options.

What we heard most frequently - You want more protection from the sun, wind, and rain. Read more about what we learned at https://planning.septa.org/projects/trolley-modernization/stations/what-we-learned/.

And now - the station design concepts have been updated based on your preferences and SEPTA’s standards. And these new modern trolley station designs are ready for viewing!

Join us on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 6:30PM for a Trolley Modernization Transit Talk! Join SEPTA and the project team on Zoom to view how your input influenced station design, ask questions, and learn next steps.

Registration is required. Register here.

This station design will be implemented across the City of Philadelphia and Delaware County in the future to ensure an easy, accessible, and faster trolley ride.

Trolley Modernization is a once in a generation opportunity to transform one of the nation’s largest trolley networks, delivering benefits across the region. Learn more about SEPTA’s Trolley Modernization program at https://planning.septa.org/projects/trolley-modernization/about/.

Along with Trolley Modernization, SEPTA is advancing several transformative initiatives to achieve the vision of a seamless, lifestyle transit network established in our SEPTA Forward strategic plan. These include Bus Revolution, Project Metro, Reimagining Regional Rail, and King of Prussia Rail. You can read about SEPTA Forward projects at https://planning.septa.org/.
