Villanova Wildcats at Wells Fargo

November 11, 2019

When they aren't playing on campus at the Finneran Pavilion - the Villanova basketball team can be found at the Wells Fargo Center, which is the venue for seven (7) of their home games this season.

Just because the team isn't playing on campus, doesn't mean Villanova students can't cheer on the Wildcats. The trip from campus to the Wells Fargo Center takes less than an hour when you connect from the Norristown High Speed Line to the Market-Frankford Line to the Broad Street Line.

You want to board the Norristown High Speed Line from either Stadium Station, Roberts Road Station, Garrett Hill Station or Villanova Station and ride it to the end of the line to 69th Street Transportation Center. At 69th Street, you need to transfer to the Market-Frankford Line and ride that line east to 15th Street. At 15th Street, follow signs for the Broad Street Line. You will board the Broad Street Line at City Hall Station and ride it south to the last stop - NRG Station.

One way fare is $2.50 cash on the Norristown High Speed Line. You must have exact change if paying the Operator. The Operator cannot make change.

Quick Trips are available from the Fare Kiosks located at all Broad Street and Market-Frankford Line stations. The kiosks accept credit/debit cards and cash [no exact change needed!]. You can purchase one-way Quick Trip tickets for travel at any MFL/BSL station for use at any MFL/BSL station. This allows you the flexibility to buy two Quick Trips at one time – one for the start of your trip, and the second for your return trip. All Quick Trip tickets must be used on the date of purchase. Quick Trips do not work on the bus.

Your best bet, is a SEPTA Key card. Like a Quick Trip, it is also available from the Fare Kiosk (or you can get one from the Villanova Regional Rail Station) but unlike a Quick Trip, it is reloadable and reusable. The SEPTA Key Travel Wallet allows you to pay as you go and you'll receive a discount for each ride ($2.00 versus the $2.50 cash fare). And each transfer is only $1. This means your trip there is $3 (you can transfer from the Market-Frankford Line to the Broad Street Line FOR FREE at 15th Street/City Hall). This means your round trip is just $6!

You must load a minimum of $1 at a Fare Kiosk or $5 online. Funds in your Travel Wallet can only be used to pay for one (1) person. It cannot be tapped multiple times to pay for anyone traveling with you. Best part – your SEPTA Key gets you more than just a ride. Flash it for discounts on food, drink, museums, sports, shops and more. Click here for a full list of Partners.
