Stretching from Arch Street to Vine Street, and from 11th street to 8th Street, Chinatown is packed end-to-end with restaurants and stores that represent Hong Kong, Cantonese, Fujianese, Northern Sichuan and Taiwanese cultures, with a sprinkling of Korean, Thai, Malaysian, Burmese, and Vietnamese. How to get there

Chinatown is a short walk from Jefferson Station (Regional Rail), 8th Street and 11th Street Stations (Market-Frankford Line), Chinatown and 8th Street Stations (Broad-Ridge Spur) and City Hall (Broad Street Line). Multiple Bus Routes also serve Chinatown.

Chinese Lantern Festival

The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival at Franklin Square illuminates the nights now thru 8/18 in the Historic District with dozens of massive, intricate, and handcrafted lanterns. SEPTA Key card holders get $1 off the Parx Liberty Carousel ride. It's a short walk from 5th Street/Independence Hall on the Market-Frankford Line!
