Plane, Then Train

The best travel option when traveling between Philadelphia International Airport and Center City Philadelphia is by Regional Rail. Airport Line service runs seven days a week, between 5a and 12a. Trains depart PHL International Airport every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends.

Trains stop at all major Philadelphia International Airport terminals, and reach Center City Philadelphia in approximately 25 minutes - with one intermediate stop. All stations served by the Airport Line are accessible.

 

Schedule

Airport Line service runs seven days a week, between 5a and 12a. Trains depart PHL International Airport every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends.

Terminal E + Terminal F - Train departs at :07 and :37 every hour.

Terminal C + Terminal D - Train departs at :09 and :39 every hour.

Terminal B - Train departs at :10 and :40 every hour.

Terminal A - Train departs at :11 and :41 every hour.

Eastwick Station is an intermediate station for PNC Operations Center, Airport hotels, and several SEPTA Bus Routes.

Penn Medicine Station is situated in the heart of University of Pennsylvania's college and health campuses.

At 30th Street Station make convenient connections to Amtrak and NJ Transit rail services; nearby other SEPTA transit services including the Market-Frankford Line, Trolley Lines, and Center City destined Bus Routes. This is also the stop for Drexel University.

Suburban Station is located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, nearby to a number of major corporations, the Art Museum area and Ben Franklin Parkway. Major transfer point for other SEPTA Regional Rail Lines.

Also located in Center City, Jefferson Station is steps the famous Reading Terminal Market and adjacent to the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Close to major downtown hotels and a short walk to Historic Philadelphia.

Temple University Station serves the main campus of the famed Philadelphia institution, near the corner of Broad & Cecil B. Moore.

Fare

For travel from PHL to Center City Philadelphia, you can purchase a Quick Trip using either cash or a credit or debit card from the SEPTA Key Fare Kiosks located at each Airport Line Terminal Stop. A Quick Trip is valid for one-way travel between PHL and Center City Philadelphia via SEPTA's Airport Line. A Quick Trip costs $6.75. Fare can be purchased onboard the train but is $8. You can use cash, credit/debit cards, and Apple/Google/Samsung Pay to pay your fare ONBOARD the train. Please be sure to tell the conductor your final destination when you get on the train. SEPTA TrailPass, TransPass (weekends only) and the Anywhere FleX Pass are also valid for travel between the Airport and Center City Philadelphia. These passes are available on the SEPTA Key card.

You can also use Travel Wallet on the SEPTA Key card. Travel Wallet allows you to pay as you go versus using a daily, weekly, or monthly pass. If you don't have a SEPTA Key card - they are available from the SEPTA Key Fare Kiosks. The initial cost of the card is $4.95 - but if you register it here - $4.95 will be added to your Travel Wallet. The SEPTA Key multi-rider feature allows up to five (5) riders on one SEPTA Key card. Multi-rider is available on all modes including bus, trolley, Broad Street Line, Market-Frankford Line, Norristown High Speed Line, and Regional Rail. More info here
