From higher education to high rises, hospitals, and hotels, Route 49 connects University City to the Philadelphia neighborhoods of Strawberry Mansion, Brewerytown, Fairmount, Spring Garden, Logan Square, and Grays Ferry. It also serves Amtrak 30th Street Station and the Ben Franklin Parkway.
Born Sunday, February 24, 2019, the Route 49 operates seven days a week and offers frequent service. Peak weekday trips run every 15 minutes, with midday service every 20 minutes, and evening trips every half-hour. Weekend runs every 20 minutes midday, and 30 minutes in the morning and evening.
