Route of the Week - 75

August 8, 2016

8/8/2016 - 8/15/2016

This week we’re taking a look at SEPTA's Route 75. The route serves the North & Northeast Philadelphia Region as it has been since it first began operating. It connects the Market-Frankford Line at Arrott Transportation Center and travels primarily along Wyoming Avenue where it connects to Wyoming Station on the Broad Street Line. Route 75 connects with Wayne Junction Station further east of the BSL allowing access to SEPTA’s Regional Rail services.

SEPTA’s Route 75 is currently operated by trolleybuses which are locally referred to as ‘trackless trolleys’. These buses replaced the streetcars on Route 75 April 19th, 1948 and have continued ever since! SEPTA’s Route 75 is one of 3 trackless trolley routes across the entire SEPTA Bus system!

Today, SEPTA’s Route 75 will travel 555 miles while carrying 3,804 passengers. Whether you’re catching the Regional Rail at Wayne Junction Station or hopping off the Market Frankford Line at Arrott Transportation Center, let Route 75 get you there!
